Sculpting Life's Moments in Bronze
"My goal as an artist
is to create highly representational depictions of pleasurable sights and
sensations. I try to find things that interest me. It may be a
person or it may be an activity.
Even though I sculpt realistically, many times a gesture works better than a tight representation. I like to see the clay's smudge, scrape marks and texture. It is exciting to take clay, which comes from the earth, and make it into an image of something living, a figure with presence, and then bring it to bronze which will last for generations."
